Planets Print Shorts, Light (Unisex)
Price range: £27.50 through £35.00
Description
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Tiki culture became popular in the US – brought to the mainland by US servicemen coming back from being stationed in Polynesia. At the same time, with satellites, animals, later humans reaching orbit, the public became fascinated with outer space.
The pattern on these shorts takes inspiration from the space race, and the designs used on Aloha/Hawaiian shirts popular at the time to imagine what mid-century designers might have come up with, had they had the images of planets we currently enjoy.
Sports outfits can be a lot of hassle, but with these long shorts there’s no need for that. Just throw on a pair and go running, swimming, weight-lifting, or participate in any other activity that pops in your mind. These shorts won’t let you down!
