In 1962, as a response to Yuri Gagarin’s trip to space, John F Kennedy galvanised the US space program. This shirt features the four manned rockets that came in the wake of Kennedy’s speech: The Mercury-Redstone, the The Titan II with Gemini capsule, the Saturn 1b and the Saturn V, set against a view of the earth from the moon, inspired by the Earth Rise photo taken on Apollo 8.
