Description
By the late 1980s, video game consoles had become a ubiquitous feature of a lot of homes – with the Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Master System, or various Atari consoles and (knock-offs) sitting by living room TVs, or in children’s and teenagers’ bedrooms – throughout much of the world. But it wasn’t until the end of the decade, when the Game Boy made console gaming portable, that it truly became ubiquitous.
This poster chronicles the first generation of handheld consoles, with launch dates and units sold, alongside illustrations of each console.
